mrtg-ping-probe software package provides Ping module for Multi Router Traffic Grapher, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mrtg-ping-probe
mrtg-ping-probe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mrtg-ping-probe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mrtg-ping-probe *
You will get with mrtg-ping-probe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
