How to uninstall or remove mrtg-ping-probe software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed mrtg-ping-probe package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove mrtg-ping-probe 

Uninstall mrtg-ping-probe including dependent package

If you would like to remove mrtg-ping-probe and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mrtg-ping-probe 
Use Purging mrtg-ping-probe

If you use with purge options to mrtg-ping-probe package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge mrtg-ping-probe 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mrtg-ping-probe
