microdc2 software package provides command-line based Direct Connect client, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install microdc2
microdc2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the microdc2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep microdc2 *
You will get with microdc2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
