libtrace3 software package provides network trace processing library supporting many input formats, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtrace3
libtrace3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtrace3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtrace3 *
You will get with libtrace3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
