How to uninstall or remove libtrace3 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libtrace3 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libtrace3 

Uninstall libtrace3 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libtrace3 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libtrace3 
Use Purging libtrace3

If you use with purge options to libtrace3 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libtrace3 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libtrace3
