libpyside1.2 software package provides Python bindings for Qt 4 (base files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpyside1.2
libpyside1.2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpyside1.2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpyside1.2 *
You will get with libpyside1.2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
