How to uninstall or remove libpyside1.2 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libpyside1.2 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libpyside1.2

Uninstall libpyside1.2 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libpyside1.2 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpyside1.2

Use Purging libpyside1.2

If you use with purge options to libpyside1.2 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libpyside1.2

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpyside1.2
