libicns1 software package provides library for manipulation of the Mac OS icns format, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libicns1
libicns1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libicns1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libicns1 *
You will get with libicns1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
