libarccommon1 software package provides ARC Grid middleware, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libarccommon1
libarccommon1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libarccommon1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libarccommon1 *
You will get with libarccommon1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
