How to uninstall or remove libarccommon1 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libarccommon1 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libarccommon1 

Uninstall libarccommon1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libarccommon1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libarccommon1 
Use Purging libarccommon1

If you use with purge options to libarccommon1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libarccommon1 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libarccommon1
