How to uninstall or remove cacti-cactid software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed cacti-cactid package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove cacti-cactid

Uninstall cacti-cactid including dependent package

If you would like to remove cacti-cactid and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cacti-cactid
Use Purging cacti-cactid

If you use with purge options to cacti-cactid package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge cacti-cactid

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cacti-cactid
