How to uninstall or remove grep-dctrl software package from Debian 7 (Wheezy)

You can uninstall or removes an installed grep-dctrl package itself from Debian 7 (Wheezy) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove grep-dctrl

Uninstall grep-dctrl including dependent package

If you would like to remove grep-dctrl and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove grep-dctrl
Use Purging grep-dctrl

If you use with purge options to grep-dctrl package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge grep-dctrl

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove grep-dctrl
