libgeoip1 software package provides non-DNS IP-to-country resolver library, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgeoip1
libgeoip1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgeoip1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgeoip1 *
You will get with libgeoip1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
