libgavl-dev software package provides low level audio and video library - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgavl-dev
libgavl-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgavl-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgavl-dev *
You will get with libgavl-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
