libfile-chmod-perl software package provides chmod() override with symbolic and ls-style modes, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-chmod-perl
libfile-chmod-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-chmod-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-chmod-perl *
You will get with libfile-chmod-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
