libdata-hal-perl software package provides module implementing the HAL data format, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdata-hal-perl
libdata-hal-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdata-hal-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdata-hal-perl *
You will get with libdata-hal-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
