How to uninstall or remove libcarrotsearch-hppc-java software package from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libcarrotsearch-hppc-java package itself from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libcarrotsearch-hppc-java

Uninstall libcarrotsearch-hppc-java including dependent package

If you would like to remove libcarrotsearch-hppc-java and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcarrotsearch-hppc-java

Use Purging libcarrotsearch-hppc-java

If you use with purge options to libcarrotsearch-hppc-java package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libcarrotsearch-hppc-java

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcarrotsearch-hppc-java
