libavcodec57 software package provides FFmpeg library with de/encoders for audio/video codecs - runtime files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavcodec57
libavcodec57 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavcodec57 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavcodec57 *
You will get with libavcodec57 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
