libapp-info-perl software package provides module to provide metadata about software packages installed, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libapp-info-perl
libapp-info-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libapp-info-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libapp-info-perl *
You will get with libapp-info-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
