libaosd-dev software package provides atheme.org's on screen display library - dev, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libaosd-dev
libaosd-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libaosd-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libaosd-dev *
You will get with libaosd-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
