kmer software package provides suite of tools for DNA sequence analysis, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kmer
kmer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kmer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kmer *
You will get with kmer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
