icdiff software package provides terminal side-by-side colorized word diff, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icdiff
icdiff is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icdiff package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icdiff *
You will get with icdiff package name, version, architecture and description in a table
