growl-for-linux software package provides Pluggable notification system which supports GNTP, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install growl-for-linux
growl-for-linux is installed in your system.
Make ensure the growl-for-linux package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep growl-for-linux *
You will get with growl-for-linux package name, version, architecture and description in a table
