How to uninstall or remove groovy2 software package from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed groovy2 package itself from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove groovy2

Uninstall groovy2 including dependent package

If you would like to remove groovy2 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove groovy2
Use Purging groovy2

If you use with purge options to groovy2 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge groovy2

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove groovy2
