gnome-shell-extension-mediapla software package provides GNOME Shell extension to control media players, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extension-mediapla
gnome-shell-extension-mediapla is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-shell-extension-mediapla package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-shell-extension-mediapla*
You will get with gnome-shell-extension-mediapla package name, version, architecture and description in a table
