gnome-shell-extension-hard-dis software package provides Shows harddisk activity (IO speed read/write and LED) in GNOME Shell, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extension-hard-dis
gnome-shell-extension-hard-dis is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-shell-extension-hard-dis package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-shell-extension-hard-dis*
