gnome-alsamixer software package provides ALSA sound mixer for GNOME, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-alsamixer
gnome-alsamixer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-alsamixer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-alsamixer *
You will get with gnome-alsamixer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
