gitlab-shell software package provides handles git commands for GitLab, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gitlab-shell
gitlab-shell is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gitlab-shell package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gitlab-shell *
You will get with gitlab-shell package name, version, architecture and description in a table
