fitscut software package provides Extract cutouts from FITS image format files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fitscut
fitscut is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fitscut package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fitscut *
You will get with fitscut package name, version, architecture and description in a table
