elpa-pdf-tools software package provides Display and interact with pdf in Emacs., you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-pdf-tools
elpa-pdf-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-pdf-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-pdf-tools *
You will get with elpa-pdf-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
