ekg2-ui-ncurses software package provides instant messenger and IRC client for UNIX systems - ncurses interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ekg2-ui-ncurses
ekg2-ui-ncurses is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ekg2-ui-ncurses package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ekg2-ui-ncurses *
You will get with ekg2-ui-ncurses package name, version, architecture and description in a table
