dctrl-tools software package provides Command-line tools to process Debian package information, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dctrl-tools
dctrl-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dctrl-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dctrl-tools *
You will get with dctrl-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
