astrometry.net software package provides Astrometry plate solver, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install astrometry.net
astrometry.net is installed in your system.
Make ensure the astrometry.net package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep astrometry.net *
You will get with astrometry.net package name, version, architecture and description in a table
