libgeotiff2-dbg software package provides GeoTIFF (geografic enabled TIFF) library -- debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgeotiff2-dbg
libgeotiff2-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgeotiff2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgeotiff2-dbg *
You will get with libgeotiff2-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
