libgdal20 software package provides Geospatial Data Abstraction Library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgdal20
libgdal20 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgdal20 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgdal20 *
You will get with libgdal20 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
