How to uninstall or remove libgaviotatb1 software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgaviotatb1 package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgaviotatb1

Uninstall libgaviotatb1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgaviotatb1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgaviotatb1

Use Purging libgaviotatb1

If you use with purge options to libgaviotatb1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgaviotatb1

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgaviotatb1
