liberasurecode1 software package provides support of multiple erasure code backends - shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liberasurecode1
liberasurecode1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liberasurecode1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liberasurecode1 *
You will get with liberasurecode1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
