How to uninstall or remove libdigest-perl-md5-perl software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libdigest-perl-md5-perl package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libdigest-perl-md5-perl

Uninstall libdigest-perl-md5-perl including dependent package

If you would like to remove libdigest-perl-md5-perl and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdigest-perl-md5-perl

Use Purging libdigest-perl-md5-perl

If you use with purge options to libdigest-perl-md5-perl package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libdigest-perl-md5-perl

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdigest-perl-md5-perl
