libdata-uuid-perl software package provides globally/universally unique identifiers (GUIDs/UUIDs), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdata-uuid-perl
libdata-uuid-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdata-uuid-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdata-uuid-perl *
You will get with libdata-uuid-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
