libconfig-model-dpkg-perl software package provides editor for Dpkg source files with validation, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libconfig-model-dpkg-perl
libconfig-model-dpkg-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libconfig-model-dpkg-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libconfig-model-dpkg-perl *
You will get with libconfig-model-dpkg-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
