libcolumbus1-dev software package provides error tolerant matching engine - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcolumbus1-dev
libcolumbus1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcolumbus1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcolumbus1-dev *
You will get with libcolumbus1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
