ledger-el software package provides command-line double-entry accounting program (emacs interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ledger-el
ledger-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ledger-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ledger-el *
You will get with ledger-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
