lazarus-ide-1.6 software package provides IDE for Free Pascal - common IDE files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lazarus-ide-1.6
lazarus-ide-1.6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lazarus-ide-1.6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lazarus-ide-1.6 *
You will get with lazarus-ide-1.6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
