kwin-wayland software package provides KDE window manager, wayland version, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kwin-wayland
kwin-wayland is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kwin-wayland package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kwin-wayland *
You will get with kwin-wayland package name, version, architecture and description in a table
