kpackagetool5 software package provides command line kpackage tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kpackagetool5
kpackagetool5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kpackagetool5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kpackagetool5 *
You will get with kpackagetool5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
