How to Install icecast2 software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

icecast2 software package provides streaming media server, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install icecast2

icecast2 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the icecast2 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icecast2 *

You will get with icecast2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
