guile-cairo software package provides Guile bindings for Cairo, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install guile-cairo
guile-cairo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the guile-cairo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep guile-cairo *
You will get with guile-cairo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
