How to uninstall or remove gradle-plugin-protobuf software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gradle-plugin-protobuf package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gradle-plugin-protobuf

Uninstall gradle-plugin-protobuf including dependent package

If you would like to remove gradle-plugin-protobuf and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gradle-plugin-protobuf

Use Purging gradle-plugin-protobuf

If you use with purge options to gradle-plugin-protobuf package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gradle-plugin-protobuf

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gradle-plugin-protobuf
