golang-go.tools software package provides Transitional package for golang-golang-x-tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-go.tools
golang-go.tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-go.tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-go.tools *
You will get with golang-go.tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
