golang-github-pierrec-xxhash-d software package provides pure Go implementation of xxHash (32 and 64 bits versions), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-github-pierrec-xxhash-d
golang-github-pierrec-xxhash-d is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-github-pierrec-xxhash-d package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-github-pierrec-xxhash-d*
